Cedar Hammock Fire Control District 2024-2025 Performance Goals
GOAL #1
Goal #1: Enhance emergency preparedness, minimizing the impact of incidents, and ensuring rapid and effective action in times of crisis to safeguard lives and property with fire and rescue response, mitigation, and recovery in a timely and efficient manner to the community and the citizens at large.
Objective 1.1: Maintain a fleet of apparatus and associated equipment in a state of readiness for fire suppression.
- Performance Measure 1.1.A: Perform annual pump testing on all assigned fire apparatus to ensure that the first responding units are 100% capable.
- Performance Measure 1.1.B: Perform annual hose, nozzle, and appliance testing on all fire suppression equipment to ensure 100% compliance per CHFROG 8-3.
Objective 1.2: Maintain testing on all assigned public hydrants within District boundaries to ensure adequate flow.
- Performance Measure 1.2.A: Test and maintain annually 90% of the assigned public hydrants for adequate flow and pressure within the District boundaries per CHFROG 7.
Objective 1.3: Maintain a well-trained operational workforce for service delivery.
- Performance Measure 1.3.A: Maintain at least 90% of annual mandated training hours (150) from the rank of operational Captain and below.
GOAL #2
Goal #2: Efficiently respond to emergency service calls while maintaining precise and accurate response recording measures. This focuses on ensuring prompt action during emergencies, enhancing the reliability of response data, and continually improving service delivery through accurate performance tracking.
Objective 2.1: Track response times to identify areas of response for apparatus and personnel usage.
- Performance Measure 2.1.A: Respond to all emergency calls for assistance with an average response time by first arriving unit at 6:00 minutes or less 90% of the time annually.
Objective 2.2: Maintain accurate and approved report writing to ensure compliance with internal and national reporting criteria.
- Performance Measure 2.2.A: Ensure 100% of incident reports for the preceding month are completed and approved by the 15th day of the month.
GOAL #3
Goal #3: Enhance fire prevention and safety through the reduction of risk of fire-related incidents by protecting lives and property and promoting a culture of safety through community risk reduction.
Objective 3.1: Ensure fire prevention methods and compliancy by conducting commercial building inspections.
- Performance Measure 3.1.A: Conduct 90% of annual fire inspections.
Objective 3.2.: Assist citizens with smoke alarm installation to enhance private dwelling safety.
- Performance measure 3.2.A: Install 100% of smoke alarms requested by private citizens annually.
Objective 3.3: Strengthen prevention efforts in the community by conducting comprehensive community risk reduction classes to the public.
- Performance Measure 3.3.A.: Deliver 90% of 30 fire prevention classes annually.
